Annual Appeal

“. . . Each with a personal gift, according to the blessing that Adonai has bestowed upon you.” Deuteronomy 16:17

The Annual Appeal is a significant component of our synagogue’s budget, supplementing dues, fees, endowments, and designated gifts. The Annual Appeal provides Beth Or with the ability to remain a stronghold for Jewish life where we strengthen Jewish identity in the next generation. It has enabled us to enhance our vibrant synagogue community built upon the traditional pillars of our faith: tzedakah, tikkun olam and gemilut chasadim.

We ask you to make Congregation Beth Or a philanthropic priority by contributing to this year’s Annual Appeal. To express our gratitude for your participation in this year’s Appeal, contributors’ names will appear in an annual development publication for Beth Or as well as in the Roberts Rotunda on the Annual Appeal tribute wall featuring the current year’s contributors. This Appeal helps to provide:

  • innovative and intimate in-home programs like Torah to Go and Take Out Judaism
  • a bustling religious school open to all students regardless of any family’s financial circumstances
  • enriching holiday events such as a congregation-wide seder
  • delivery of food and other support by Caring Congregants in moments of illness or mourning
  • projects like the Corner of the Land Garden in which we grow and donate vegetables to those in need in the surrounding community
