You're So Not Invited to my Bat Mitzvah: Rosh Hodesh Adar

Saturday, March 1 | 6pm

In the month of Adar we are commanded to increase our joy. Join Rabbi Lefkowitz & Jillian Peskin for laughs and conversation as we screen the movie "You're so not invited to my Bat Mitzvah"! Tween girls are encouraged to come with their moms to discuss navigating the pressures they might face in the years to come. Congregant and licensed therapist Elana Marcus (bio below) will be joining to help both moms and teens navigate these challenges.

Pizza, popcorn, salad and dessert will be served .

Elana Marcus, LCSW
Licensed Psychotherapist | Children, Teens, and Families

As a licensed psychotherapist based in the Philadelphia area, I am dedicated to helping individuals of all ages overcome mental health challenges and improve their relationships. A graduate of the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, I have spent years working with families, particularly focusing on enhancing communication and addressing behavioral challenges.

In my private practice, Ignite Change, I specialize in helping families build stronger, healthier connections. Through a holistic and integrative approach, I use cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused techniques to tailor sessions to each client's unique needs. My work emphasizes both compassion and challenge, helping clients identify patterns in their lives that lead to lasting transformation.

I believe in supporting families, especially mothers and their teens, by offering actionable strategies that foster understanding and connection. My practice is grounded in respect, sensitivity, and the highest ethical standards, with the goal of making therapy accessible, impactful, and transformative.

We will do our best to accommodate this request!
