There is a vital need for contributions to support Israel. Beth Or is collecting funds to donate on behalf of our collective community to be distributed to causes that are selected by our Social Action and Israel Committees and directly support Israeli front line workers, soldiers, decimated communities and more.

Distributions include but are not limited to these causes:

• American Friends of Magen David Adom (AFMDA) - Training, equipment & medical supplies for paramedics, EMTs, first responders and first aid providers to treat all injured and ill people in Israel.
• Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) - Meet the emergency needs of IDF soldiers - i.e., temporary field hospitals, intensive care ambulances, hygiene kits, plasma kits, IDF's greatest immediate needs.
• Dror Israel - Aid for evacuated families, supports for kids under fire, programs in bomb shelters
• Latet - Emergency campaign to provide food and hygiene boxes as well as winter equipment to Israelis affected by the war

FRACTURE TO HOPE: CONGREGATION MISSION TRIP TO ISRAEL - FEBRUARY 18 - 25, 2024

Rabbi Marx and congregation president, Leslie Weiss led a congregational service trip to Israel. During their time in Israel, the Beth Or group visited families of the victims and hostages of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, toured affected locations, meet with IDF soldiers, actively volunteered in kibbutz agriculture, donated blood, supplies & toys, supported local businesses and restaurants, and much more.
