Get Involved
Get Involved
One of the best ways to make the most of your membership and build lasting friendships is to get involved! Beth Or sponsors hundreds of spiritual, educational and social programs, events and experiences throughout the year that are for everyone and/or tailored to specific interests and life stages. We encourage you to check out a program that interests you and participate at a level that works best for you and your family. Refer to the website calendar, your weekly Chai Lights and Community Matters emails, or the current issue of Spotlight for upcoming programs.
If you are looking to volunteer, we can use your expertise, enthusiasm and time! We rely on our members to help create outstanding programs and meaningful experiences. You can volunteer as a lay leader, committee chair, or committee member. The opportunities run the gamut – from membership in auxiliaries such as Brotherhood and Sisterhood, to program/event planning, to fundraising, Social Action/Social Justice, and so much more! We can’t do it without you, and your participation will give back 100 fold.
Scroll through the opportunities listed by category on the side of this page to see which peak your interest:
- Congregational Engagement - A variety of auxiliaries and committees for adult members to build connections, friendships and experiences within our Beth Or community
- Youth Engagement - Groups and programs for our children
- Greater Community Engagement - Committees made up of Beth Or members who are dedicated to coming together to make a difference in the Philadelphia area and beyond.
- Join A Committee - all Beth Or committees
Please contact our Director of Member Engagement, Jillian Peskin, 215-646-5806 with any questions, or if you have an idea for future programming.
